The quality of Louise's workshops have been widely praised by teachers and festival organisers, who ensure a heavily booked schedule as news spreads by word of mouth.

In association with Dragonheart Publishing, Louise's workshops are lively interactive presentations with real-life props. She describes a book's journey from scribbled author notes through to a glossy volume, and beyond into advertising and bookselling.

She includes topics such as research, manuscripts, typing and correcting work, IT use, cover design and illustration, printing, marketing and the media.

Story reading, small group work, cover designs and story endings if time permits!
Especially aimed at Key stage 2 children, but can be adapted for Key Stages 1 or 3. Louise is also mindful of the needs of children with specific learning difficulties.

Says Louise: "These are one of my favourite parts of life as an author. Even if some children are not keen on writing, they'll probably get absorbed by the art or printing or just by the idea of being a rich publisher!"

Because the Time Trigger series is so rich in accurate history, as well as geography, travel, philosophy and even foreign languages, not to mention encouraging youngsters to read, it has been well received by teachers and home educators.
